The cube

[2005 Dec/ Pulic art/Video installation/ Gothenburg, Sweden]

Few years ago the Gothenburg city built a video cube as the public art. This video cube is about 2 meter tall, and video can be projected on the 4 sides of the cube. Every winter people can submit their works to the organization to show in the cube. Eva, Oscar, Salvador and me worked together and made a video with “warm orange color” with low frequency humming. It looks really attractive when the whole plaza was covered by snow.

This animation was originally made for the imagine cup 2006 short film competition, organized by micro$oft. The topic is something like “How technology improve human life”. The hamsters* came up with a metaphorical idea of a garden.

Freewill spheres

I found this interesting gadget in Ap Liu Street. It is a ball that will try to roll all over your house, it is originally used as a cleaner for the floor, but it inspire me to do this new project-- Free will spheres.
