The Cave [2004]

Artist statement:

is easy to put things together, but most of the time, it never works out. No matter business, love nor politic relationship.
Bed is the place we have the most intimate relationship. Most of the time two people met on bed because they choose to, sometime they are bring together due to varies reasons.
Hong Kong, as a place of "immerging the west and east", the bridge/window of China to the entire world is having the same situation.
Two kinds of people are put together as they have the same nationality and locate on the same earth. When the relationship started, they were two entirely different dreams, but it seems they are coming together now, maybe after a while, two different dreams may shift from one to the other.

Setup :

2 TV monitor, 1 Video Projector, bed with cover, 2 DVD players
Loop video, pure color change from blue to red and red to blue.
In the installation, two TV set were placed at the pillow position showing blue and red color. For 15 minutes time interval, they shifts from the other colors, red to blue, blue to red.
The projection on the body part of the bed showing a purple color, it gets deepest when the colors of the two TV sets are the same.
They are synchronized every 7.5 minutes.
